{"id":101,"date":"2017-12-04T17:02:42","date_gmt":"2017-12-04T06:02:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/07q.f74.myftpupload.com\/?page_id=101"},"modified":"2017-12-04T21:28:47","modified_gmt":"2017-12-04T10:28:47","slug":"the-equisimulator","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/gretgrixequestrian.com\/?page_id=101","title":{"rendered":"The Equisimulator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gretgrix Equestrian is very excited to now have an Equisimulator, designed \u00a0by Enlightened Equitation founder, Heather Moffett.<br \/>\n\u200b<br \/>\nThe Equisimulator is a mechanical rider powered horse, which simulates a horse&#8217;s movement in walk, trot and canter. \u00a0This machine enables a rider to learn exactly how to absorb and synchronise with the horse&#8217;s movement in all paces, appearing &#8220;still&#8221; and elegant to the onlooker. It is an ideal way to improve rider position to become secure and effective and to apply aids discreetly. If\u00a0the rider loses synchronisation or &#8220;blocks&#8221; the movement, the machine stops.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike a lunge lesson, the coach is right next to the rider to provide instant feedback whilst they are in motion and can make direct adjustments to position.<\/p>\n<p>It is an ideal aid to<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Fix common rider position issues<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Improve balance<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Assist riders to absorb movement, particularly in sitting trot, canter and to make smooth transitions between the paces<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Improve core strength and muscle memory<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Assist in gaining confidence and security<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Learn the basics of riding <i>before even sitting on a horse!\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Equisimulator lessons are very safe and an ideal way to improve riding skills &#8211; whatever the weather and at various times of day.
