About Lauren

Lauren has  over 30 years of experience in the equestrian field. Her passion for horses led to completing an Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Horse Management) at Glenormiston College. Lauren has years of experience in competing in a wide range of disciplines and has competed up to Equestrian Australia CCN-2*S  and HRCAV Level 1 eventing.

In addition to her equestrian knowledge, Lauren is also a Workplace Assessor and Trainer and has experience in educating a wide range of people with differing learning styles. In 2012, she completed her EA (former NCAS) Introductory Coaching qualification. More recently Lauren has ventured to Portugal on multiple trips in 2017 to hone her dressage riding and training skills. In April 2018 she completed Level 1 Enlightened Equitation Teacher Training in the UK – focusing on classical seat and rider biomechanics, along with training riders on the Equisimulator.

Lauren has comprehensive independent coach insurance, along with Working with Children and First Aid certification.  Lauren is also a HRCAV Level Assessor and from 2019-2021 taught Certificate III in Equine Studies at Box Hill Institute through the VET in schools program. Lauren recently completed a Master of Teaching (Primary) and is now a qualified teacher.

Lauren lives in Marong with her husband, Mark Gretgrix and two children.
